As a Science and Technology Studies scholar, my research focuses on understanding the processes by which and the innovation ecosystems within which scientific knowledge is created and used to address sustainability challenges. However, I have primarily worked as a practitioner in this space — first, developing funding programs at the National Science Foundation to support transdisciplinary socio-environmental system science and, now, developing programs for ISE to help put Mason’s research and scholarship into action.
- Building transdisciplinary communities of research and practice at Mason to address the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
- Developing key partnerships to help put Mason research and scholarship into action.
- Co-coordinating the Mason Sustainability Council.
