Institute for a Sustainable Earth

Collaborate With Us

“George Mason University’s Institute for Sustainable Earth (ISE) offers the opportunity for a new version of town-and-gown partnerships that can enhance the communities of the Northern Virginia region environmentally, economically and socially. The ISE’s international focus and the opportunities to learn from and apply technical and policy innovations concerning sustainable development, as in Germany, is especially appealing.”

Dale Medearis, PhD, Senior Environmental Planner, Northern Virginia Regional Commission

ISE collaborates with leading nonprofits and advocacy groups, government agencies, NGOs, businesses, and foundations to leverage shared expertise and resources, fueling discovery and applied problem solving. We also work with our partners to train the next generation of sustainability leaders through experiential learning opportunities.
