Research Focus
Currently developing a regional climate change conference to develop a longer term program in climate change and water resources and their effects in Central Asia. We are working to create a network of Central Asian researchers and young researchers to investigate these issues. Issues include water use, conservation and sustainable agriculture.
I am also working on energy use, decarbonization, green hydrogen and air quality in Russia.
Current Projects
  • Virtual climate change workshop in Central Asia under the auspices of The Global Energy and Water Exchanges (GEWEX) project, as part of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP). The coordinating office is at George Mason, in the Center for Ocean-Land_Atmosphere Studies.
  • Education Partnership with Ferghana State University in Uzbekistan. Funded by the Department of State through the American Councils for International Education; to improve the environmental curriculum, particularly in areas related to climate change.
