Fall 2022 Peace Week will be held on September 19th through September 23rd, focusing on the theme “Rethinking Peace: 2022 and Beyond”. Sessions will either be held in-person or virtually.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine, mass migration, refugee crisis, persistent violence and discrimination against minorities, and violations of civil rights and liberties undermine the stability of global society and require rethinking of the concept of peace. This Fall, Peace Week sessions will explore these challenges through various approaches that are designed to address them by holding seminars, workshops, and presentations. Connecting research to action to shed light on the participatory processes, social change actions, and the institutional frameworks that are required for fostering peaceful, just, and inclusive societies.
